Born 12th July 1972 in Westminster, London to an English father John, and a French mother Joelle.
Jake played a minor role in Only Fools And Horses in 1989 as Rodney's assistant. Due to his later fame in EastEnders, his character has become part of a running gag by OFAH fans on social media saying "Is Max Branning in OFAH?" or "Rodney's assistant Max Branning".
After OFAHEditIn 1990, Jake played a minor character in EastEnders called Jackson. Jake then had many other TV roles in Inspector Morse, The Bill, Casualty, A Touch Of Frost and Silent Witness.
In 2006 Jake joined the cast of EastEnders full time as Max Branning, a Jack the Lad with a roving eye for the ladies. As of 2017 he remains in the role and is committed to EastEnders.
